Abstract

The area of biotechnology is of great importance in the application of various scientific studies, one of them and others that are phenoloxidase enzymes synthesized by organisms such as insects, bacteria, plants and fungi, especially those of white rot. The physiological function of the laccases has not been fully understood, but is known to be characterized by their ability to degrade phenolic compounds. In several studies, they report that the laccases do not have a specific substrate by which it allows them to transform matter and in some cases completely mineralize a great variety of xenobiotic and recalcitrant agents. For this reason, its study has intensified in the last years, thus proposing possible applications that help to grow the knowledge and information of these. The present work is a contribution inclined towards the great range of products and applications as in: industries, chemical and clinical use and the environment.
